MANDATORY HOTEL
BOOKING POLICY
•
To participate in the 2008 California Winter Games,
all teams are required to book hotel accommodations
through our official housing bureau, GET Travel
Sports & Events, at one of the listed CSG
host hotels offered at discounted prices. See
Hotel Discount
page for details on rates and how to book your
rooms.
•
Teams choosing not to book hotel rooms through
GET Travel Sports & Events are required to
pay a $50 Deviation Fee per team made payable
to California State Games. Upon completion of
paid Deviation Fee, teams are accepted into the
tournament.
•
Exemptions: Teams residing in San Diego, Orange
or Riverside County are exempt from the mandatory
Hotel Booking Policy.

Instructions
You
can purchase your tickets seperately online. They
will all be given to the Team Manager at Check-in.
Ceremonies
- All hockey teams will participate in
an Athlete Parade, Captain Torch Passing, and
Torch Lighting Ceremony on top of the Historically
Famous USS Midway! After the ceremonies, there
will be opportunities to ride Flight Simulators
and tour the Hanger Deck and Mess Hall. PLEASE
SUPERVISE YOUR KIDS AT ALL TIMES.

must have a ticket to board the ship**
About
the USS Midway - Live the adventure,
honor the legend aboard the longest-serving aircraft
carrier in U.S. Navy history--a 47 year odyssey
that spanned the end of WWII and the liberation
of Kuwait in 1991! It is located downtown at the
San Diego Navy Pier with views of the city and
Coronado Island.

BRING ROSTER STICKERS FOR SCORESHEETS (6
or more)
- First
games will be held in the morning on Friday,
February 15 at 10am. Schedules
will not be revised for a team's specific
travel plans.
- Cal
State Games reserves the right to close
a division before the registration deadline.

Championship games will be played on Monday,
Feb. 18. Final game on Monday is estimated
to be finished around 3pm.
-
All teams must show proof of USA Hockey
team registration, birth certificates, team
roster and release forms for each player
prior to their first game.
-
A-B level teams will play 12 minute stop
time periods. AA teams will play 15 minute
stop time periods. 5 minute warm up time.
No over time shall be permitted.
- Athletes
will receive a goody bag full of great stuff
at check-in.
- Rosters
should be submitted with the entry form.
Birthdate of each player needs to accompany
the roster.
