• Teams must place in the Top 3 of their qualifier to play in Division I.  If a qualifier has multiple levels of play, only teams from the highest level can qualify for Division I.

All coaches must present each player's birth certificate copy prior to their first game.

• Option 1:  Scan & Upload or Email Birth Certificate & Athlete Waivers to entries@calstategames.org   Check-In will go quickly if you upload or email these prior to the tournament and have received confirmation of approval of all players. 
• Option 2: Mail in Birth Certificate copies & Athlete Waivers to Cal State Games, 4909 Murphy Canyon Rd #110, San Diego, CA  92123.  Check-In will go quickly if you mail in your team's birth certificates & waivers prior to the tournament and have received confirmation of approval of all players.  
•  Option 3:  Submit Birth Certificates and Athlete Waivers at Team Check-in on Thursday.  If you choose this option, some players may not be eligible to play.

NOTE: A team may have up to 3 players submit an Age Exception form. Age Exception forms must be submitted with a birth certificate and last report card the player received. A player may only be one year older than the required age for the division and be in the same grade as the other players. This form must be approved by CSG prior to the tournament for verification.  These documents can be Uploaded in the Registration system.

Spectator Wristbands are available for purchase online at the registration portal,  at check-in at Four Points by Sheraton San Diego, or at the gym.  

Teams will receive up to 2 Coach's complimentary entry wristbands.

• 3-Day Wristband: $20
• Daily Wristband: $10 per day

Parking fees at Alliant Gym:

• $15 per vehicle per day or
• $40 for a 3 day pass

All athletes' parents/guardians must sign and submit the Athlete Waiver prior to competing.

Birth certificates must also be verified prior to play.

Open to all athletes from California and Nevada.

You must register online by clicking the link in the "REGISTER HERE" Blue Box above by June 26.  No spots will be held if we do not receive your entry fee by June 26. 

• To participate in the 2024 California State Games, all teams are required to book hotel acommodations at one of the listed CSG host hotels offered at discounted prices.  You will book your hotel block through your registration dashboard.  After you have made your hotel reservation, teams are accepted into the tournament.
• Teams choosing not to book hotel rooms at our host hotels are required to pay a $300 Deviation Fee.  You can pay online at the registration portal or mail a check made payable to California State Games to 4909 Murphy Canyon Rd #110, San Diego, CA 92123 or contact our office. Once the Deviation Fee is paid, teams are accepted into the tournament.
• Exemptions: Teams residing within 80 miles of San Diego are exempt from the mandatory Hotel Booking Policy.

• 2023 Championship Tournament Rules
• All teams guaranteed 4 games. 
• First games will be played on Friday starting at 9am.  All teams will play on Friday.
• Final games should be completed by 3pm on Sunday
• Game balls will be provided by Dick's Sporting Goods.

You must play in one of the Qualifying Tournaments listed below to play in the Championships in July in San Diego. Every team that plays in a qualifying tournament will be eligible for the Championships. Results from each qualifying tournament will help determine proper level placement and/or seeding. 

Boys' age divisions 10U through 14U may offer 2-3 levels of play: Division I, Division II, and possibly Division III. Teams will make a suggestion to the level of the team when registering, and final placement of teams is left to the discretion of CSG tournament director based on the number of teams entered and talent level, strength of qualifier played in, placement in qualifier, overall win/loss record, previous year's scores, and regional director's input if needed.

Gold medal winning teams from the 2023 California State Games automatically qualify for the 2024 CA State Games. Contact our office for details.
