2024 State Games of America presented by National University
State Games of America offers discounts at area hotels for participants and their families. The discounted rates are good for 3 days before the Games and 3 days after the Games if you want to enjoy a few extra days of beautiful San Diego!
Mandatory Booking Policy
For Team Sports including Basketball, Rugby, & Water Polo
(Discounted hotel rates still apply to all athletes in all sports)
- To participate in the 2024 State Games of America, basketball and water polo teams are required to book hotel accommodations at one of the listed SGA host hotels offered at discounted prices. After you have made your reservation, teams are accepted into the tournament.
- Basketball and Water polo teams choosing not to book hotel rooms at our host hotels are required to pay a $300 Deviation Fee. Mail a check made payable to California State Games or contact our office at 619-223-2033 if you wish to pay online. Once the Deviation Fee is paid, teams are accepted into the tournament.
- Exemptions: Teams residing within 80 miles of San Diego are exempt from the mandatory Hotel Booking Policy.
- If hotels are sold out, please visit this link, and contact us to let us know you are staying at a hotel from the provided link.
